VEGANISM-A NEWAGE FOOD PHILOSPHY

There are two most common food practices or say philosophies followed in India & around the world ie. vegetarian & Non-vegetarianBut a new philosophy has emerged recently ie. veganism.
It is a practice where people remove all kinds of animal products from their diet even dairy products. (dairy products and honey are allowed in a vegetarian diet)&go on a completely plant-based diet. Many people also avoid buying animal-derived products such as leather etc.
Vegans believe in cruelty-free life for animals & believe in coexistence with all kinds of living organisms. Celebrities like Sonam Kapoor, Shraddha Kapoor John Abraham, Sonakshi Sinha &many more follow a vegan diet. Veganism also has a positive impact on climate& environment, because it reduces the possibility of cruelty to animals& carbon emissions.
But before going vegan we need to know that cutting down dairy& other animal products from your diet without analysing your lifestyle pattern &nutritional requirements of your body is foolishness.
You need to stock your kitchen up with vegan alternatives of every food item. Remember calcium, vitamins such as A, B12, and D, Proteins, omega3 zinc, Iron, Iodine, etc. are very essential parts of our daily diet.
Almond milk , soya milk&coconut milk are vegan alternatives to dairy milk.Jackfruit&mushroom can be used as a vegan alternative to fish in currey& sauces because they are similar in texture & flavor Banana, Apple sauce, flax seed, and Avacado can be used for eggless cakes Tofu is best for chicken, fish & meat replacement in terms of flavor & nutrition.
We have seen that vegan alternative is available for almost every non-vegan product but still vegan dishes are expensive & hard to find in restaurants. why? We know that supply is directly proportional to demand, Vegan restaurants are incurring losses because target groups are small in number.
But before going vegan or following any diet plan remember It is not necessary that what worked for you, may also work for a friend or vice versa, every body type is different, and nutrition requirement is different Many vegans switched back to Veg or Non-Veg diet because they faced nutritional deficiencies& mental health problems. In my opinion, a healthy &balanced lifestyle is the thing which is important & we can achieve the goal in whatever way we like but we need not to follow any trend blindly.
