THE CHEATING MENTALITY

Have you ever seen any student outside the examination hall with nervousness & anxiety on his face, a simple dress code but don't forget to observe his chappals, wondering why? the simple chappals that are used to protect our feet from the dirt of the road have become Bluetooth devices. Yes with the arrival of technologically advanced gadgets cheaters have also become Hitech using Bluetooth devices, pen & button cameras.

WHY DO PEOPLE CHEAT?

Don't you think the student who decides to cheat doesn't know that he is going the wrong way,

then why do they cheat? We all have seen MUNNA BHAI MBBS Can you tell me why Munna lied to his father?

Didn't he knew that gundagiri is wrong, but the fact that motivated him to cheat his father is his father's aspiration to see his son as a successful doctor but because of the burden of aspirations & inability to judge the actual capability of his son, A dream turned into a nightmare & he ultimately became a Gunda. Similar was the case of Rohan from the film Udaan (2010)where he deliberately fails in college exam because he wanted to be a writer against the wish of his father who wanted him to be an engineer so basically, cheating is not a result of administrative failure but social pressure, First & foremost thing to deal with this cheating mentality "LET THE CHILD FOLLOW HIS /HER HEART".Remember : बाबा रणछोड़ दास (3idiots) (सोच अगर लता मंगेशकर के पापा ने बोला होता की तू क्रिकेटर बन जा या सचिन तेंदुलकर के पापा ने बोला होता तू सिंगर बन जा...") अगर ये सच हो जाता तो भारत का क्या होता?

The cheating mentality is not limited to students only, it is us the adults who inculcate the habit of cheating in our children wondering how? Do we never make fun of Gandhiji's principles while giving/ taking that note with Gandhiji's photo as a bribe?

Our politicians take oath in the name of the constitution to serve people honestly& fulfill promises made to their voters, Do they fulfill the promises made to their voters? NO, Is this not cheating?

People cheat in relationships also, extra marital affairs, hiding secrets from our partners, parents& loved ones.

To conclude we can say that a cheating mentality is not a mistake, it's a choice but this choice of cheating is influenced by many factors, students cheat because of parental pressure, peer pressure, and exam phobia. Adults cheat to escape from situations, and financial problems, partners cheat because of compatibility issues sometimes they are commitment-phobic. The politicians cheat because of their hunger for power.

In my opinion, if we want to curb cheating from the grass root level, communication is the key, heart-to-heart conversations stress-free environment & transparent administration are some needs of the hour. We need to remember cheating can give us instant benefits but honesty & transparency are key things needed for a stress-free & strong foundation of the future.
