SUSTAINABLE APPROACH TOWARDS USE OF TECHNOLOGY

Science day is celebrated every year on 28 February to mark the day of the discovery of the Raman Effect in 1928, by Sir C.V.Raman (He won the physics Nobel Prize in 1930 for his discovery) first National Science Day was celebrated in 1986.

Raman Effect is based on the theory of inelastic scattering, which states that when a monochromatic beam of light is allowed to pass through any object made up of solid-liquid or gas the energy frequency or wavelength of incident light is different from scattered light, the rate & direction of change depend upon the property of the object.

Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) Science & Technology; ) Dr. Jitendra Singh launched the theme of National Science Day 2022 ‘Integrated Approach in S&T for Sustainable Future’.

With increasing progress in the field of Science & technology environmental problems & global warming are also increasing so integration of science & technology with a sustainable future is also important.

The Indian government has taken steps towards the eco-friendly way of living through digitization of the economy saving a large amount of paper government has also laid emphasis on solar energy hydropower projects & promoting organic farming. The minister also urged the industrial sector of India to function keeping a sustainable approach in mind.

Many Automobile companies are launching electric vehicles to reduce the consumption of petrol.

The government of India & different industries is making their best efforts to take step towards an eco-friendly future, but as an individual, it is also our responsibility to make changes in our daily life like-

1. Use digital payment gateways instead of paper currency

2. Say no to signal use plastic

3. More robots should be introduced in hospitals during the treatment of life threatning& infectious diseases to save the life of our doctors.

4. Development of bio pesticides should be our focus

5. Non-polluting way of stubble burning should be developed because this is the important reason of air pollution in India. (पराली जलाने का गैर प्रदूषणकारी तरीका विकसित किया जाना चाहिए क्योंकि यही भारत में वायु प्रदूषण का महत्वपूर्ण कारण है)

Integration of technology &Sustainable development is not a phenomenon that should be celebrated only for one day it should be made an everyday practice, The aim of innovation in technology should be to help the human race to live in harmony with nature not to conquer it. “प्रकृति की देखभाल करें, यह हमारी देखभाल करेगी, हम अगर प्रकृति को नष्ट कर देंगे, यह हमें नष्ट कर देगी”.
