Repealing of law means withdrawing or making any existing law null and void. A Law is repealed for many reasons , technical faults in provisions , secondly if some provisions are no more required according to the circumstances of the country. Artical 245 of the Indian constitution allows the parliament to repeal the laws .
WAYS TO REPEAL ANY LAW
i) Through Ordinance : (अध्यादेश द्वारा) The Indian constitution allows President of India pass an Ordinance to make or repeal laws when parliament is not in session . This is done on advice of cabinet and needs to be approved by the Parliament within 6 weeks to 6 months .
ii) Through Passing a new bill : ( सामान्य बिल द्वारा) Repealing bill is passed by same procedure as any other bill in parliament , It needs approval of both the houses of parliament and finally sent to President for approval , Once the president sign the bill the law get repealed .
THREE FARM LAWS
i) FARMERS PRODUCE TRADE AND COMMERCE ( PROMOTION AND FACILITATION ACT 2020 - Allows farmers the freedom to trade anywhere outside state - notified APMC markets , and this includes allowing trade at warehouses , cold storage , (अनाज / सब्जी मंडी की सीमा के बाहर व्यापार )
ii) THE FARMERS EMPOWERMENT AND PROTECTION AGREEMENT ON PRICE ASSURANCE AND FARM SERVICE ACT 2020-This act encouraged contract farming i e . it allowed private partners to sign a contract with farmers about the price and type of crop it wanted from a particular farmer before the actual harvest . ( अनुबंध खेती को प्रोत्साहन )
iii)ESSENTIAL COMMODITIES AMENDMENT ACT 2020- Central government removed some items from essential commodities list such as cereals pulses etc . Before the farm laws prices of these essential was under government control , but after the amendment act 2020 these items were set free for open trade . ( आवशयक वस्तु संशोधन अधिनियम )
Why farmers are opposing farm laws
Most of the farmers in india are small scale or marginal farmers , labour on lands of others and they are mostly uneducated thus contract farming is against their interest .
Removing cereals pulses etc from essential commodities is not practical decision .
allowing trade outside APMCs mandies will deprive such committee of taxes and other fees .

Modi government passed 3 farm laws in September 2020 but repealed them after public outrage in November 2021 through a new bill . According to India Today 1301 laws repealed by previous governments .
