Agnipath scheme is announced by the defence forces of India in June 2022{Army, Navy&Air Force}for the recruitment of 46thousand candidates for the span of 4 years (17 to 23 years of age )25% of them will be retained permanently.
The aspiring candidates are protesting against the provisions of the scheme, The reason being there are a lot of unclear things& uncertainties about the scheme. The roadblock is that Despite putting in a lot of hard work, rigorous training &a lot of aspirations, 75% of the youth will be lost again after 4 years in the crowd of unemployed people.
The supporters of this scheme believe that even the dropout candidate will have the financial support of 11 to 12 lakh rupees at the end of the term along with AGNIVEER KAUSHAL CERTIFICATE which will be counted as an additional qualification for the hiring in various police departments at the state lavel& future hirings of the defence forces.
In my opinion, It's human psychology that if we enjoy any opportunity for 4 long years then suddenly feel that it's slipping from our hands like bits & pieces then this situation can break us mentally,& if the question is about job security, the situation can be even worse the drop out candidate can suffer from mental illness&depression.
To conclude we can say that If any candidate wants to enroll himself into the scheme then he/she should take it as a training opportunity with defence forces, not as the job opportunity & try to make these 4 years the most memorable one, Remember getting employed with the defence forces is a bonus it will be a life-changing experience to get trained by the experts & brave heroes of the nation.
